EMC Week 2019 in Boulder City, NV

A huge thanks to all who helped or attended EMC Week, held in the lovely Boulder Dam Hotel in Boulder City, NV.

Thanks to a small class size and industry leading instructors, attendees gathered useful information they can use. We received comments such as this:

Have just returned from this exciting event back to Canada. Thank you all for tons of valuable knowledge in the field of EMC testing, troubleshooting and proper designing for EMC! This event was precious!

We hope we can see you at our next event!

SSCLabs acquires land for Open Area Test Site ( OATS )

November 2018 SSCLabs acquired 10 acres of land located north of Reno with the specific intent to install a 3m and 10m open area test site. This is the test site reference for commercial Radiated Emissions testing.

The location is close to Reno, but because of the land topology, the location has as very low Electromagnetic Ambient: ideal for Radiated Emissions testing.

The facility is planned to be operational late february 2019 with FCC listing shortly thereafter.

Please contact us to learn more about this new capability.

SSCLabs Accreditation to ISO17025

On question that is often asked is this ” Is SSCLabs Certified?”

Well, the answer is yes we are: we are certified by ourselves. However, while that ensures our commitment to embracing quality work, it is not always enough and one possible step is Accreditation by a 3rd party.

SSCLabs currently conforms to ISO17025, and is ensuring our management system complies with the latest version before applying for a 3rd party Accreditation.

Accreditation is expensive, and will not change the way in which SSCLabs operates, but it WILL be a very valuable addition for those clients that require it.

SSCLabs would greatly like to receive our clients thoughts on Accreditation.
